Besakih Temple is the largest temple in Bali which is also called the mother temple. This temple is located on the slopes of Mount Agung which is the highest mountain in Bali. In Pura Basukian, this is the first place where God’s revelation by Hyang Rsi Markendya, the forerunner of Hindu Dharma Religion is now in Bali, as its center. Pura Besakih is the center of activity of all temples in Bali.
3. Kerta Gosa
Kerta Gosa is one of the tourist attractions in Bali are full of historical value. The location of this building is located in the middle of the heart of Klungkung city, adjacent to Puri Agung Klungkung which is the center of government in the era of the kingdom first. There is no written evidence to specify when Kerta Gosa was built, but from Candra Sangkala (writing on the basis of time) carved on the main entrance of this building which reads “Cakra-Yuyu-Paksi-Paksi which when translated will be a series of numbers “1-6-2-2” it can be concluded that Kerta Gosa was built in 1622 Caka or around the year 1700 AD.
